History

The story begins in Andernach, Germany where Hans Syri graduated in industrial engineering. The young man was ready for adventure. He hesitates between Australia and Canada and finally decides to immigrate to Canada.

1955

He arrives in Toronto and is hired by Callwood, an Ontario based company that sends him to install a new poultry slaughterhouse in Saint-Felix-de-Valois. Shortly after, Callwood goes bankrupt.

1957

Encouraged by the people of Saint-Felix-de-Valois, Hans Syri decides to start his own business there. He meets Denise Henault, who is then working at her father Onias’s General store. Three children are born of their union. Denise had a background in administration and she quickly became an important pillar of the company.

1992

Jean-Pierre Syri buys the company from his father. The son of Hans and Denise continues the work begun by his parents and enjoys developing and modernizing the plant facilities.

2004

Jean-Pierre Syri convinces his wife, Johanne Dumais, to join him as a partner in the company. Johanne is currently CEO and a proud shareholder.

2010

The All-Inox company acquisition allows Syri to diversify its business, while remaining at the forefront of cutting edge technologies.

Over the years, Syri / All-Inox has experienced remarkable growth, becoming a flagship company of the stainless steel industry. Today, the company occupies a prominent place on the international market and looks to the future with confidence.
